Army Materiel Command (AMC)
The Army Materiel Command is the principal material developer for the Army. AMC accomplishes its mission through nine major subordinate commands, overseeing numerous depots, arsenals, ammunition plants, laboratories, test activities and procurement operations.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO)/G-6 of the Army Materiel Command (AMC) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia needed a way to communicate IT & IA compliance statistics to his senior decision makers at Headquarters and at all of AMC’s subordinate activities. The CIO verbally laid out the four critical areas of interest that were needed immediately– Army Gold Master (AGM) Compliance, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliance, Anti-Virus (AV) compliance and Software Licensing Compliance & Costing.
The CIO/G-6 of AMC turned to tiag to help with this requirement. tiag was already an established trusted partner with AMC for enterprise management activities throughout the Command. Building on their organizational knowledge and systems integration / engineering capabilities, tiag customized its proprietary knowledge management dashboard to provide a highly modular solution for AMC. The Knowledge Management (KM) and Web development experts collaborated to create a highly detailed and flexible solution for AMC that is built in Adobe Flash and is based on XML data that can be hosted on most any web server and as a result, easily utilizes data from AMC's Enterprise Management System.
Today, tiag’s dashboard solution is deployed, and in use, at AMC, providing decision makers the first, real-time information about the state of compliance throughout the Command. The dashboard allows for the range of concern from compliance officers, information assurance managers (IAMs) and C-level personnel to view the entirety of their organization's compliance status and to drill down on problem areas and/or sites and identify areas to target for remediation. tiag’s dashboard technology has enabled AMC to stay ahead of the compliance curve.
tiag's dashboard has successfully delivered real time status on time critical projects ranging from BRAC compressed timeframes to business process reengineering efforts. Because of the dashboard's design, any system that can export XML data can be used for information sourcing. As such tiag’s team of skilled integration engineers can develop custom data collection scripts, dashboard modules and system integrations for a broad set of unique data sources and our Web development experts create custom, user-friendly displays.
