Umang Modi
Umang Modi's superior technical expertise and keen business acumen lead his customers to success in whatever they set out to achieve. His astute appraisals coupled with actionable counsel lead his engineering team's fervent pursuit of strategically-aligned solutions.
Umang is a problem solver bar none, leading his team to dissolve obstacles and do whatever it takes – at every level - to ensure standards are not only exceeded but elevated in the process. For over ten years he has brought this uncompromising work ethic and a broader outside-the-box ethos to an ever growing number of DoD clients.
With his talents given room to expand at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Umang rose from Senior Engineer to Technical Project Manager, lending technical brilliance and high-level synthesizing abilities to address migrating WRAMC and NARMC to the next generation of enterprise management solutions including client management, information assurance, and system monitoring. Umang then went on to become the Lead Solutions Architect for the Army Material Command Enterprise Services Branch. At AMC, Umang led the implementation of multiple enterprise-wide initiatives that were integral parts of the CIO's IT Campaign Plan, resulting in millions of dollars in savings to the Command. During this time, Umang's team of engineers grew from two to a loyal, long-term cadre of 18.
Since 2009, Umang has served as a Director for tiag's enterprise services portfolio where he has managed contract operations at AMC, the Army Research Lab, The Warrior Transition Command, Fort Irwin NEC, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and the Software Engineering Center/Army Datacenter Consolidation Plan. Umang has been a remarkable cornerstone for tiag on these contracts both from the financial management perspective as well as by consistently ensuring the completion of contract deliverables. Prior to tiag, Umang served in multiple technical capacities, making high-yield investments in developing his skills as he completed his arduous but steady procession from a Tier I call center agent to a Senior Systems Engineer.
